Jade Plays: Gremlins 2 (part 1)

Gremlins was a great movie. Starting off as a charming movie about a boy and his furry little alien friend, it quickly turns into a nightmare as the creature accidently multiplies, from being exposed to water, and the newly-spawned creatures, when they eat after midnight, change into malevolent beasties that turn the sleepy town of Kingston Falls into a war zone. The second movie was more of a comedy than a horror movie, becoming more of a self-parody, and not afraid to make fun of itself. Enter Sunsoft, who made a video game of it. This game is only loosely based on the movie, but unlike most movie-based games which are bland and boring at best, this game is actually very enjoyable. Sunsoft seems to be fairly good at making good movie games, as they also did Batman, which was also a great game. There is also a GameBoy version, but it's very different from the NES version, and nowhere near as good, IMO.
